About Us

For many young people, growing up should be filled with moments that build confidence, identity, and a sense of belonging: first days of school, cultural experiences, and milestones that shape how they see themselves and their future. But for countless youth in underserved communities, those moments are often overshadowed by financial stress, lack of access, and systems that were never designed with them in mind.

Too often, children walk into important spaces feeling unprepared, unseen, or left out; not because of a lack of potential, but because of a lack of resources.

When I Glow Up was created to change that.

We are a community-driven organization dedicated to closing the gap between youth in need and the resources that support their growth and well-being. Through strong community partnerships, we connect underserved youth and their families to essential services, including mental health support, educational tools, and culturally meaningful experiences that foster confidence, dignity, and belonging.

Our work goes beyond providing resources. We create access to experiences that affirm identity, restore confidence, and remind young people that they are worthy of showing up fully in every space they enter. By removing financial and systemic barriers, we help youth step into opportunities with pride, supported not only as individuals, but as part of a stronger, more connected community.

Because when young people are supported, they don’t just show up, they thrive!
