Back-to-School Services

When I Glow Up was created to help students in need feel confident and cared for as they head into a new school year. This free event includes back-to-school braids and haircuts, backpacks filled with supplies, a clothing boutique, mental health resources, fun activities like pot painting and plant giveaways, and more.

Some of the services are listed below, and we’re still adding new vendors and special touches. Space is limited, so be sure to register at the bottom of this page to secure your spot!

Free Manicures!

Kids can enjoy a fun and simple manicure from our volunteer nail artists. It’s a great way to add a little sparkle and self-care before school starts! Services are first come, first served—be sure to sign up early to save your spot.

Free Haircuts & Styles!

Students can receive a fresh back-to-school hairstyle from professional stylists and barbers. We offer free haircuts and braid styles to help kids feel confident and ready for the new year. Spots are limited and styles are simple, so register below to secure your place!

Free Plants!

Each child will get to paint their own mini plant pot and take home a small live plant. It's a creative and calming activity that encourages growth—both in and out of the classroom!

Free Backpacks, Clothes & More!

Students will receive free backpacks filled with school supplies, plus the chance to pick out a back-to-school outfit from our clothing boutique. Additional community resources will be available for both students and parents to explore throughout the event.
